Richard Verbeek

Richard, born in Rotterdam,1966. Currently living in Sweden……. land with thousand islands and lakes!
Fished in his teenage years a lot with small spinner blades, hooked up with a fly pattern (brown Palmer). Picked up this kind of fishing again in his early 30’s. Surprisingly caught a lot of other species beside predators….and got infected by the FF virus.
Lived for 30 years in the Northwest part of Holland, learned a lot about FF from members of the VVC de Poldervlieg and technical support of Bert “Handy” (fish) Schouten. Saw the importance of a good casting technique.

Quote: You can tie such a perfect fly pattern, but if you can’t place it where it’s needed……

Fished rivers and lakes in Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Scotland, Austria, Italy, Slovenia, and Bosnia.

Past the EFFA Basic Instructor test in 2002 and become an EFFA Master in 2010.

He loves to teach fly-casting techniques and giving workshops at clubs and at National and International fly-fishing and game fairs too.

This year Richard will lead you in the wonderful world of fly-casting and like to share some Tipps and Tricks at this Flyfair “2025.”

Hoppas vi ses!! …… Hej Då!
